The Law of “Garbage Truck”

(Got a very nice mail titled ‘Law of Garbage Truck’)

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.
As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
So … Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don’t.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have a blessed, garbage-free day!

In some way, A cab driver is more educated than wanna be MBAs!!!! This is not the first example for me which has taken me into the whirlpool of thoughts where uneducated people make our jaw wide open. Infact their thoughts, belief and dedication are uncomparable and we just seem to forget what we offer to the society.

The above scenario lights up the ‘power of thoughts’ and really makes me think who we are and where we are heading. This is a slap to all the educated ass. Well written mate!

    hey,
well a nicely written description of an ordinary incident but with an enlightened thought,
it made me think, how a simple and ordinary person like a cab driver, can be blessed with such a higher thinking process, yes he talks about a thinking process.

well the process starts with happening of an event, then action of the first side(can be positive or negative;well it was negative in the above incident),followed by reaction of another side.

the reaction can change the whole game, and thats what he talks about, dont Be another garbage truck to the person who yells at u,
rather show him/her the brighter side of life and that is having compassion and generosity for thy neighbour.(THATS WHAT JESUS CHRIST SAYS)

trust me it can change ur life…………………………

yes that is quite an intellectually written post .. yes life is what you make it out to be the essence lies in how you take it.. donot ever spread the garbage but the love and hapiness that brings a smile to one and all.. in the end donot take life so seriously…

Exactly komal…. 🙂 People say garbage in garbage out…but still if somebody is yelling at you…you can just smile back and go…dont take his garbage home… 😉
